1. How did you guys come together and form? Who thought of the name “No Place Else” and is there any meaning behind it?

Well we kind of just came together by coincidence, Cindy and Aaron wanted to form a band for a few years and it just kind of fell into place once they decided to actually do it. The name No Place Else came one night when we were out at some restaurant and there was a sign that said ‘Like No Place Else’ so we just ran with it.

2. How would you describe your music to the average listener?

We have a melodic blend of punk music fused with a mainstream sound that is incredibly catchy and easy to listen to. It may make you want to dance, or break someone’s face with our occasional breakdowns.

3. When can we expect the new EP to be released and what can people expect from it?

We have a mini EP ‘Beginners Luck’ coming out in a few weeks. It features three of our first songs together as a band, but we are hoping to release a full length EP at the end of the summer.

4. How would you describe your live show?

We just like to have a good time. Energy is important to us, and we love to have the same response from the crowd.

5. What’s your favorite track to play live? Favorite crowd track?

Our favorite track to play live is definitely ‘Ruins’ It’s full of breakdowns, some sweet vocal melodies and it allows us to let loose on a whole different level from the rest of our set. The Favorite crowd track has to be ‘Jamie’, everyone seems to like it a lot and we love hearing them sing the chorus back to us.

6. What’s your take on the current state of pop/punk?

We miss Good Charlotte.

7. What’s the music scene like there in WV both locally and state wide?

It’s kind of slow. There isn’t much of a pop/punk scene, but we love playing with our friends in other bands around here.

8. What’s your take on illegal/legal music downloading?

Don’t do it, or just don’t get caught ;)

9. Who are three bands you’d love to tour with?

Yellowcard, Close to Home, and definitely Creed.

10. What’s next for No Place Else?

Hopefully a world wide ‘With Arms Wide Open’ tour with Creed, but in the mean time we’re going to be touring this summer and releasing our first full length EP at the end of the summer. Be on the lookout!

11. Any shoutouts?

Definitely to Mike Bohn for this cool opportunity. Our buddies in some local bands: Reveler, Motion Theatre, A Summer Apart, Helgradh, Against the Tides, Surrender, and Oceans of Grey. Also a huge thanks to Josh Crouse for doing some amazing guest vocals on one of our tracks and Brett Larue for producing and recording ‘Beginners Luck’.
