From: Scunthorpe, UK
Sounds like: Alternative Rock

Rock music has a solid future with more and more rock bands pushing the boundaries of sound. A prime example of looking into the future is the phenom UK rock band Recruits and their "We Are Recruits" EP. "Right Words" opens the EP with very uplifting instrumentation. When it comes down and evens out the track treads into Skillet and radio rock while still creating their own brand of rock. It's quite a song to listen to and as a opener really makes the EP pop right off the bat. "Disappear" fires things up a notch and is a hell of a catchy song. The track is amazing and will surely get your toe tapping and head bopping with its contagious riffs and melody. "I Don't Want To Know" starts things off with drums and guitar before breaking into a crunchy rock tune that has shades of Breaking Benjamin. The track perfectly balances hard rock with alternative radio friendly rock. "Broken" is a track that could be a great live track with the audience waving their arms in the air to the seductive groove and cool collective melody of the track. "Remember You" closes out the EP with its passionate, emotional rock sound. The sound brings to mind You Me At Six. The track is a high energy track that along with the rest of the EP is brimming with radio play.

Verdict:
Recruits are another young band from the UK that have a massive rock sound that is hard to ignore. Five tracks is not enough. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled on Recruits. You will not regret it.
