Sounds like: Pop/Rock

The Ones You Forgot released the EP earlier this summer. They feature a strong female vocalist and a pop rock sound that infects your eardrums for days. Let's see how their five song EP fares against the current state of pop/rock. "Do They Know It's All Your Fault" opens up the EP with a contagious summertime sound. The female lead vocals lead the way as the track is a really nice jumping off point. The positive lyrics about letting go of someone who was close to you who wasn't a right fit, has a strong message and really makes the EP come out swinging. "Finished From The Start" turns things up a notch. The track is a tad faster than the previous track but still ultra catchy. The track brings to mind Tonight Alive. "Revision (The Mess You Made)" continues the onslaught of catchy pop rock. The bouncy effect of the track is prevalent and is comparable to early Paramore. "Stationary" will get the live crowd going in a frenzy. The high energy of the track will sure make its mark on anyone who hears it. "Lesson Learned" closes out the EP with its most fierce track. The track along with every track previously are single worthy. This won't be a band you forget anytime soon.

Verdict:
This EP from The Ones You Forgot will infiltrate your head with its super duper catchy pop/rock sound. This band knows how to make catchy rock music. Look out for them on everything from radio to the Warped Tour very soon.
