Sounds like: Rock

Hyngd from Highland, NY has been rocking stages for over a decade playing alongside acts such as Gwar, Nonpoint, All That Remains, and this year even performed at the Rockstar Mayhem Festival with Slayer, Hellyeah, and The Devil Wears Prada to name a few. Needless to say, Hyngd have put in their work. This four track EP is just a small sample of what to expect from this outstanding act from NY. "Cold" starts things off with an almost metal chugging riff opening which then leads into a melody and an overall very good opener. The track brings to mind early Godsmack. "Last Breath" has a nice riff to kick things off which then breaks down a bit to an almost nu metal vibe throughout. The track could be comparable to Dry Kill Logic with its melody and heaviness. The explosion of sound halfway through the track will surely put the moshers in overdrive. "Beneath The Loss" is a rock song through and through. There seems to be a bit of Buckcherry influence here on the track until near the end with its monstrous breakdown. The track has a different sound than the previous tracks but it works pretty well. "Torn" is a hell of a closer. The track is glorious and breaks through the ceiling of the sound heard from the rest of the EP. The track is fast, heavy and lets everything loose. This being the final track on the EP really sends it off on a high note.

Verdict:
Hyngd have four tracks here that will keep the listener salivating for more.
