1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Frame The Artist” and is there any meaning behind it?

Caleb: We've all been playing music our whole lives and we all came from different backgrounds in the styles that we grew up playing. We decided to blend all of our styles into one sound and it just kinda came out the way it has and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Alex: The name "Frame The Artist" came from a personal conspiracy theory of mine about a vocalist from a band that I was heavily influence by called As I Lay Dying.

2. What do you want listeners to take away from the "Seven" single?

Caleb: I wrote the song about how people always get under your skin and tear you down and I want everyone to realize that no matter what anyone says to you, their opinions don't matter.

Alex: We just want and hope that people enjoy the "Seven" single as much as we enjoy playing it live.

3. What can people expect from your live show?

Caleb: Hopefully a lot of moshing because that's what I'm all about. Haha

Alex: A lot of twerking hopefully, that's what I'm all about. Haha

4. What's your favorite track to play live?

Caleb: "Regret" (one of our demos) That one hits home for me.

Franklin: "Seven", I love the vocals on it.

5. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Caleb: Parkway Drive or The Ghost Inside.

Alex: August Burns Red.

Marshall: For Today.

6. Any crazy show stories?

Caleb: We played a show at 3am one night at a ghetto place called The Vanguard Warehouse here in Houston. There was 2 stages and when we were done setting up we went to go check out the other stage and there was a lady lighting another lady - who was completely naked - on fire. That was a really interesting New Years.

7. What’s your take on the current state of metalcore?

Caleb: It's still big and only getting bigger.

Alex: Same. Haha

8. What’s the current music scene like there in Texas both locally and state wide?

Caleb: Hardcore is taking over in Houston and all over Texas. I grew up listening to Hardcore bands so I'll always have love for it.

Alex: We're from Houston so no matter what Rap will always be number one.

9. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

Caleb: As long as they're listening to our music I'm happy no matter what. But I mean if you wanna buy it then by all means go for it!

Alex: Just come our shows and buy our merch and i'll forgive you for illegally downloading our music :)

10. What’s next for Frame The Artist?

Caleb: Lot's of touring as soon as we can!

Alex: We're currently working on recording and releasing our first full length. As far as a release date, we're not completely sure yet but we hope to have it out around sometime in December.

11. Any shoutouts?

Alex: Carlos Duran for all the recording he's about to do haha.

Caleb: One of my best friends Cody Little for introducing me to Alex. Years of giving out my number to random people finally worked out. Haha

Frame The Artist: Our good friends "In Exile", and all of our other local friends and anyone else that takes the time to listen to our music or come out to a show. FTA2K16.
