Sounds like: Pop Punk

This EP from Puerto Rico Pop Punk powerhouse Late Night Drive was released earlier in the summer of 2016. They're on track to release their follow up "Bloom" EP very soon and have recently released their "Exeunt" single (which can be heard here) in support of it. This EP is a look back to their previous work and gives insight on what the band is all about. The intro track "JC-5" opens up the EP with a tremendous easycore influenced breakdown which really gets things going in the right direction. "Ohio" is upbeat from the jump and really picks up the pace into the more pop punk side of things. The melodic chorus mixed with the upbeat punk sound is top notch and brings to mind the early New Found Glory sound. "Drew! Barry! More Power!" keeps up the energy and is a tad more punk orientated than the previous tracks. There's a slight Blink 182 sound to it as it perfectly knows how to mix pop punk, melody and fast riffs into a very exciting and catchy track. "Mi Casa Es Su Casa" will get pop punk listeners singing along right away with its Knuckle Puck influence and ultra infectious chorus and melody. It's a track that should not be missed. "Sally" is a more intimate acoustic track that pulls the heartstrings of the listener. It's powerful, emotional and hits the mark with anyone who has separated from their significant other. "All Wave, No Goodbye" closes out the EP on a thrilling high note. It's a powerful track that really puts the stamp of their signature sound on the conclusion of the EP.

Verdict:
Late Night Drive perfectly showcase why the Pop Punk scene should be on the lookout for them.
