From: Brooklyn, NY
Sounds like: Rock

Ghostly Times are a Rock band from Brooklyn who recently released this eight track effort drawing influences from acts such as Thrice and Circa Survive. Let's dive in and see what they're all about. "Ghostly Times" opens up the album with a slight tinge of Death Cab For Cutie sound combined with the high energy of Thrice. The monumental Rock sound is something to behold as it really pouts the listener through a roller coaster of Rock emotion. "Sleepless State" has an Indie Rock vibe that brings to mind Castle Pines in its Indie Rock melody. It's a top notch track and should be on the radio right now. The guitar solo on the track is surreal. "Book Of Love" picks up the pace and releases a sonic assault on the senses. The vibe glides along with a drive and determination that helps make it a stand out track. The Rock tendencies are off the charts on the track. "Murder Of Crows" takes things down a few notches but still manages to pull off a track that oozes confidence. The track eventually goes off the rails and makes its mark on the album with some incredible guitar riffs and soaring vocals. "Rainstorm" right away unleashes a fury of Indie Rock, Rock, and even a touch of Post Hardcore. It really encapsulates what the band brings to the table with their eclectic sound. "Trace Your Steps" is an amazing track that'll get crowds moving and singing along right away. You need to listen to this track right now, it's that damn good! "Sit Back, Relapse" and Go" blows your mind right off the bat with a tremendous guitar riff before transitioning into a wall of Rock sound that would make modern Rock bands envious in their tenacity. The track is surely to be a fan favorite in no time as it has a ton of depth and catchiness. "Grey" closes out the album with a sound that'll linger with the listener. The track has a wave of emotions that is rarely felt and heard in music nowadays. The album itself is phenomenal and should be in every Rock music fans collection.

Verdict:
Ghostly Times have a candidate for Rock album of the year with their newest release.
