Sounds like: Metalcore

So Our Last Of Days released their first full length album a little bit ago and boy is it hard as nails. Let's dive in and see what they're all about. The opener "Yesterday" tears right in with some solid guitar riffing. The track brings shades of early Bring Me The Horizon with its Metal intensity. There are some killer breakdowns on the track that are simply off the rails. The clean vocals are pronounced but don't overbear the track. It's a top notch opener, that's for sure. "Rain" is a bit bouncy of a track. The track is a tad more melodic and fast than the opener. The track really stands on its own perfectly. "Disappear" opens with a sharp guitar riff before bursting into a Metal laden intro that even includes a a teeny bit of a crushing breakdown. The chaos that ensues is nothing short of devastation. The clean vocals kick in the chorus and brings to mind Beartooth with its passionate fury. The breakdown that follows is fierce and with easy to sing along words it'll be a pileup up sing along at live shows without doubt. The chorus kicks back in shortly thereafter and the end of the track builds to a monumental finish. The top notch Metal sound of destruction closes out the track in style. "Ghost" ramps up and explodes with a wall of Metal sound. It's a top notch track that really shines through with its Melodic Metal tendencies. "Peace Of Mind" brings with it that August Burns Red devastation and passion. The track shreds and will surely get the blood flowing. "Nowhere To Go But Down" takes a bit to get going but once it does, it's like a train barreling full speed ahead not stopping for anything. The pacing of the track is awesome and really takes the listener on an emotional journey. "Black Today, Gold Tomorrow" has a good ratio of melody and heaviness to it. It's extremely catchy while still bearing the Metalcore tendencies that will get the pits moving. "Claustrophobic" soars with melody. The track features a sound that's akin to Calico System with its melody and destruction. Awesome track indeed! "Preacher Of Persecution" digs in deep right away and goes straight for the jugular. Parkway Drive would be envious of the track as it features the perfect mix of Metal riffing with top tier breakdowns and melody. The closer "All The Same" starts off with with a killer riff and uptempo instrumentation before bursting into a high octane Metalcore sound. The track glides along seamlessly with crushing metallic breakdowns. Melody is more prevalent in the chorus with clean vocals meshing together with harsh before giving away to the next verse. The next verse is more uppity and is sure to induce some circle pit action. The tempo changes a bit but still keeps things moving at a fast clip. There's some technical prowess later in the track that's for sure. The track then slows things down quite a bit with a melodic section that really turns things upside down. There's a ballad like quality to the section and it shows the melodic side of the band perfectly. The track then kicks back in and cranks it up to 11 with its intensity before ending with an extremely hard breakdown.

Verdict:
Our Last Of Days pull out all the stops with their new full length album.
