Sounds like: Metal

Disillusion Effect's new album is a must have for fans of heavier Metal and let's tell you why in our new review. "Delusional Fortress" lays the groundwork for the devastation that's about to come. The early Lamb Of God influence is strong as it cranks things up to 11 on the heavy scale on its seven and a half minute long journey. "Parable Of Black" starts off with with a hard dirty riff while then adding in even more brutality with the harsh vocals and eventual speeding up the pace. The more traditional Metalcore shines through here as it swings and sways with breakdowns, and melodic riffs galore. The influences on the track vary from Zao and Shadows Fall to older In Flames. The one thing the track does is that it keeps moving along at a frantic clip even later on. The guitar solo later in the track keeps up with the high pace perfectly. Overall, the track is over six minutes of pure Metal bliss. "Into The Arms Of Perpetually Numb" starts off with a guitar riff that shreds along until the vocals make themselves known. The dark overtones of the track bring to mind an almost Black Metal sound but still manages to incorporate some Metalcore tendencies. It's a tremendous track to rock out to. "The Smile Of Indrid Cold" has shades of Unearth in its approach. The track bears down and crushes everything with its riffage, harsh vocals and earth shattering breakdowns. It's technical at times but still is heavy as hell. "Red Glory Repentance" comes right in like a runaway freight train. The track is absolutely relentless until later on and that's when it breaks into a melodic instrumental closing that really takes it to another level. "Attritions Gift" closes out the album with a circle pit inducing Metal sound. The track goes for five minutes and then dips down back its feet back into the melodic side of things for the remainder of the track. If you need more Metal in your life, grab this album right now.

Verdict:
Disillusion Effect's newest album is a must have for fans of heavier Metal music.
