From: Albany, NY
Sounds like: Alternative Rock/Pop Punk

Subtleties are a young up and coming band from Albany, NY who are looking to make their mark in the Rock/Punk scene with their newest four track EP. Let's dive on in and see what they're all about. The opening track "I'll Probably Mess Up My Line" kicks things off in high energy fashion. The Fall Out Boy influence is on full display here as it barrels full speed ahead with highly infectious radio Rock mixed with a dash of Pop Punk for good measure. The track later on goes into some Easycore territory with some harsh vocals and Pop Punk breakdowns. It's a tremendous opener and the energy really sucks in the listener for the next track "Who Knows?". "Who Knows?" has more of a Post Hardcore edge to it as it springs to mind Circa Survive, Taking Back Sunday or The Used. It's catchy in its own right and takes the listener on an incredible journey of instrumentation and haunting vocals. "Nobody" starts off slow but eventually blasts in with soaring vocals and high octane sound. The track brings to mind the early style of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and that's not too shabby. The closing track "The Absence Of Emotion" is for sure heavier than the previous tracks. From the opening breakdown that churns up shades of the heavier side of Emery to the early side of Underoath. It's a tremendous closer and should be a fan favorite in no time. Check these guys out right away, you won't be disappointed.

Verdict:
The new EP from Subtleties has something for everyone to enjoy.
