Frozen Sand is a dreamy musical entity begotten by the collision between the art of storytelling and the great auditory power of progressive metal music. What does that mean in regards to their form of Progressive Metal? Let's dive in and tell you in our newest review. The opening track "A Melody Through Time and Space" makes use of a piano to help set the mood early. The arrangement is spectacular and a beauty to listen to. "Perfect Inspiration" gets the energy pumping with its driving melodic riffs. The track features some brilliant guitar work that any fan of Metal would adore. The vocals keep up with the pace and melody. "Everlasting Yearning" is tremendous in its high octane delivery. The track shreds full speed ahead and doesn't let up in its four and a half minute length. The instrumentation on the track is truly out of this world. "Sail Towards The Unknown" has a Tool vibe to it as it has some funky riffs and schizophrenic Metal sound. It's a track that Progressive Metal fans will eat up right away. "Yell of Hesitation" continues the onslaught of Progressive Metal. The track is a bit harder than the previous tracks as the breakdowns and vocals take the intensity up a few notches. "Rule This World" is a beast of a track. There's a Periphery influence on the track that helps it stick out to the modern Progressive Metal fan. It's melodic, technical and simply rocks. "You-Partial-Perfection-Daylight" is the longest track on the album clocking in at nearly nine minutes. It's an epic track that defies logic with its exhilarating Progressive sound. The dual vocals on the track add another element of depth as well. The closer "Silent Raven" brings the album to a close on an atmospheric level. The instrumentation is flawless and it closes everything out on a high note for sure. Progressive Metal fans rejoice! You have a new act to sink your teeth into.
