Sounds like: Metalcore

My Own Will from Detroit, MI are looking to put themselves on the map of heavier music with their recent "Heretic" EP. Let's tell you why you need to check these guys out in our newest review. "Dead and Gone" sets the destructive tone right from the get to. The breakdowns contained within the track are fierce and pulverizing. The melodic sections on the track bring to mind Misery Signals. It's an awesome opener from start to finish. "Dear Father" continues the audio onslaught. The track steamrolls ahead with the force of a thousand freight trains. It's an intense journey into the world of My Own Will with their honest, heavy sound being the narrator. "Shut It Down" closes out the EP in devatstaion fashion as the blistering breakdowns keep coming. The track is incredibly heavy and really helps crank up things one last time. Metalcore has seen its ups and downs in the past few years but these guys are legit as hell. For fans of heavier music, welcome to your new favorite band.
