"Snake Charmer" Single Review
In preparation for their upcoming single. let's take a look back at the previous single from Cain Alley to get familiar with what they bring to the Rock music world. The track starts off with a whirlwind Rock sound that is tight, groovy and has some twang to it. As the track takes off it, the riffs get more awesome and it glides along effortlessly. While there's a slight Nirvana sound to it, it's much more layered than that as for the two and a half minutes of run time, it's not enough to hear all of the details. You'll be reaching for the repeat button as soon as it's over to get an even more taste of what Cain Alley has to offer.

Verdict:
Cain Alley's short but sweet "Snake Charmer" single with charm you like crazy.

-Interview- (3/30/19)
1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Cain Alley" and is there any meaning behind it?

(Kayne) I started playing drums when I was about 7 and ever since then I’ve always had a drive to play music. I started my first band Melted Fro after high school and just recently started Cain Alley. We developed our sound from just playing what we wanna hear and always having a heavy approach to it. Alli (Rhythm Guitar) and I just thought it would work to put our names together and change the spelling for the band name.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

Well music has always been there for me through good and bad times, so if it can help somebody or they can relate to it or feel from it that's the most important thing.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Alternative gutter Rock.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Most of them are dead now haha but currently Queens of the stone age, Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys.

5. What are your three desert island albums that you'd never get tired of listening to?

Queens of the Stone Age’s self titled record, Black Sabbath - Paranoid and LA Woman - The Doors.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Rock?

It’s become underground again in my opinion the last decade or so. But it definitely feels like it’s time to come to the forefront again to wipe out all the crap mainstream stuff.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Canada both locally and country wide?

Locally there's a lot of really cool Indie rock and folk. Country wide Canada has kept a really great Rock scene.

8. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

Everyone does it! There’s a lot of great stuff you can’t get at record stores anymore but it is important to support artists, my room looks like a CD/Vinyl hoarders hahaha

9. What’s next for Cain Alley?

Our debut album comes out June 7th, so we’re just going to play lots of shows this year then get recording the next album!

10. Any shoutouts?

Shoutout to my parents for being really supportive and letting me play guitar for hours on end without losing their minds. Also shoutout to Nick and Vic at Iguana Studios for helping me put this album together!
