Sounds like: Rock

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Temple Hill" and is there any meaning behind it?

We all pretty much started with music cause we all love it, growing up it always gave us the outlet we needed for being creative and expressing ourselves even if we all have different backgrounds and grew up in different countries. So the instruments that we all ended up playing are those that came naturally. The sound has definetly developed from our different tastes/backgrounds in music we all have, mine being a very American music based background as where the rest of the guys have a very European musical based background. So that combination has given Temple Hill's music maybe a different approach to the songwriting and style.

The name of a band is really important and it should also say what kind of music that band plays. So we wanted a name that checked those boxes. One day that name came up in some kind of magazine or something and we thought there's our name. The only meaning to it is that for us the name speaks the mood of our music.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

A download/stream...hahaha..I would say the enjoyment of listening to our songs enough so that they would want to listen again and again. Each of our songs tells a story with melody and would hope that they enjoy some good story telling while singing our songs.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

A Progressive, Classic and Modern Rock mix.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Shinedown, Foo Fighters, and Alter Bridge.

5. How has COVID affected what you do as a band?

It has slowed down things a bit with recording and finishing the record which yeah makes the situation boring at times.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Rock?

I think there is a lot of great Rock out there, new and old just have to look a little harder for it. It's not so much front page news anymore but it's there, everywhere. It's pretty obvious what genres dominate the airwaves today pop, hiphop and rap, boring but that's how it is and doesn't mean Rock is dead cause of that just means that it's not the 80's anymore.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in US/Sweden?

Music scene here is like it it is everywhere..not so much happening. If you want to see your band, get your phone or computer out and you can see them 24/7.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Sucks but that's the way it is, we all have to adjust.

9. What’s next for Temple Hill?

Finish our record, keep putting out singles and making video's to back everything up. We are finishing the mix on our 5th single as I write and hopefully have a release on that in May or something like that.

10. Any shoutouts?

Yeah to everyone that reads this give us a listen, put us on your playlists, check out our videos on youtube and send us an email if you'd like.
