Sounds like: Punk

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “12th Avenue” and is there any meaning behind it?

3 of us met sophomore year (Austin, Nejay, and Jacob) we started in Rap/Metal Band. That didn't work out. There was 8 of us in the band. And it sucked. After that we stayed friends, our music separated. Then Nejay And Austin joined back up in our Junior Year GarageBand class, Finding Logan in the halls and in our cliche. Starting our 3 piece band and putting out our 4 song EP “Taking a Break” after we dropped that, we moved Logan to guitar and Jacob joined and started playing Bass. 12th Avenue was thought of by Austin. It is the street we played our first house show. And where we practice.

2. What do you want people to take away from your "Taking A Break" EP?

A fun energetic sound to Skate Punk.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Trashy, Melodic, Catchy Skate Punk.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

FIDLAR, Teenage Bottlerocket, and Arctic Monkeys.

5. What are your three desert island albums that you'd never get tired of listening to?

"Nevermind" - Nirvana, "Freak Out" - Teenage Bottlerocket and "Dookie" - Green Day.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Punk?

It's at a good and steady pace, but it needs more of an ambitious sound.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Minnesota both locally and state wide?

It's creative on its own. All mixed genres.

8. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

We don't like Illegal downloading. If you really want to support a band/artist, buy their albums.

9. What’s next for 12th Avenue?

Tutoring, ideas for a new EP, and evolving our sound.

10. Any shoutouts?

Our Dads and Moms, Mr.Buller (MGSH), and the music.
