Sounds like: Thrashcore

Dead Atlantic's highly anticipated full length album is finally here! Let's dive on in and see what it's all about. "Your Bones" blasts right in with a Modern Metal sound that helps set the tone for the carnage that one can expect from the band. The breakdowns and seamless melodic riffs are a thing of beauty. They showcase their diverse Metal sound perfectly on the opener. "The Art Of Insomnia" churns up the pits with its intense delivery and crushing breakdowns. Any fan of Metalcore and any of its variations will eat up this track. "Clipper City Is Burning" is an interlude track that breaks things up for a bit. The riot like audio clip sheds to like some craziness that's happening in the world today. "This Massacre Is Real" kicks off with a fantastic Metal breakdown. The Thrash influences come in shortly thereafter as the sound takes it to an even higher level. The Hardcore breakdown that follows will get the pit open right away with its intensity. The controlled chaos of the track is admirable and really keeps things restrained until the Killswitch Engage type melodic clean vocals/riffs. The guitar solo is outstanding later in the track and simply shreds. There's an Unearth-esque breakdown that follows that is so destructive, you'd think that they reverted back to their early work. The track closes out in style with a driving force behind it that is rarely seen nowadays in the Metal scene. "I Am The Wolf" builds ever so slowly before erupting into a Metalcore track that brings to mind Darkest Hour and their Metal tendencies. There's so much depth on the track that multiple listening is highly recommended. "Wasting Away" keeps the breakneck pace moving along nicely. The breakdowns come in droves and don't let the listener have any sort of breather. It's a truly devastating track and keeps the adrenaline pumping throughout its near four minute length. "A Death Internal" has an upbeat melodic groove to it. It's a different sound thus far and brings to mind early Atreyu. It works very well and should be a fan favorite. "Past Times Will Keep Us Alive" will get the heads banging right from the get go. The chugs and ruffs are out of this world. The track goes off the rails for a bit later on but brings everything back together with a timely place melodic bridge and eventual breakdown. "Candle Lit (In The Heart Of The Ocean)" is a nice acoustic closer. The track soothes the soul with some sweet stylings. If you're a fan of any type of Metal music, you need this album in your life right now!

Verdict:
Dead Atlantic's new album is a Metal release for the ages.
