From: Del Rio, Texas
Sounds like: Metal

Everything is bigger and badder in Texas and Dawn Of Flames are ready to prove that they're the biggest and baddest up and coming metal band from the state with their debut full length album. The opening track "Awaken" immediately sets the metal tone for the album. The slow breakdown coupled with stellar guitar riffs make this an exceptional intro track. "The First" starts shredding right from the get go. The high octane metal track is filled to the brim with a Lamb Of God like whirlwind of sound. "Separation" features some early Killswitch Engage influence. The track will get the pits moving with its fury of metal and melodic riffs. It's a truly amazing metal track. "No Escape" keeps the breakneck pace going. The track has the grooves and breakdowns that are surely to attract a fan or two of At The Gates or early Atreyu. "Demons" features a sound that'll get the heads banging and crowd singing along. The clean vocals are a nice touch and adds another layer to an already brutal metal track. "Desolation" is an instrumental interlude that really helps break the overall tone. The soft sound on the track makes for a great breather before erupting into the next track "Worthless". "Worthless" is near six minute romp through the bowels of metal, hardcore and thrash. The track oozes melody, devastation and passion. "Mori Difficile" slows things down a touch. The track brings to mind early As I Lay Dying with its near melodic metalcore type sound. It showcases what the band are capable of when they want to make a more melodic metal track. The closing epic track "The Last" is six minutes full of that signature Dawn Of Flames sound that sets them apart from their contemporaries. It's a fantastic opener that'll make the listener crave for more and more.

Verdict:
Dawn Of Flames explode into the metal scene with their phenomenal full length album.
