From: Clearwater, FL
Sounds like: Alternative Punk/Experimental Rock

Clearwater, FL rockers Hexproof are in the midst of releasing their new single "Half A Loaf" so let's look back and get familiar with them with our review of their five track EP. "Still Standing" kicks off the EP with a whirlwind sound that incorporates a Rock/Punk style in the vein of Dance Gavin Dance, modern New Found Glory and even a smidge of Evanescence. The track is quite the opener and should draw in listeners with relative ease. "Waves Of Change" features more of an upbeat, energetic sound to it. There's a bounce factor to it that helps set it apart from the opening track. This track will be a fan favorite in no time, that's for sure. "Hope Set Sail" opens with a Foo Fighters type riff before transitioning into a pretty decent breakdown. The real treat on the track are the haunting vocals which along with the top notch Experimental Rock instrumentation make it a true gem. "Distance Away" pulls out all the stops in the Punk department. It's the shortest and fastest track on the EP and it simply blazes along like no ones business. It's still highly infectious and showcases the tremendous depth that the band has. The closing track "407" is everything the band is about. It simply creates a sound that's hard to ignore and every fan of Rock music should check this out this EP. Be sure to keep an eye out for their new single "Half A Loaf" coming out real soon as well!
