Sounds like: Metal

Never Mind The Damage have been through a lot since their previous effort "Moral Things" release. One of the major changes is that they have a new lead singer by way of Jacob Henderson. With this being their first release with him at the helm, let's see how they fare compared to their previous material. The opening track "Wait And See" jumps right in with a dirty riff and an eruption of Metal. The vocals right from the get go have that distinction of a slight Grunge/Nu Metal grit to them. The cleans and harsh vocals blend very well overall. The track is a roller coaster of Hard Rock and Metal and brings to mind early Staind. "Freedom" is a tad more timid than the opener but still has the melodic chops to make it a Rock radio favorite. There's a lot to like here and it's accessibility make it a repeat listening track for sure. "The Rest Of Yesterday" is the longest track on the EP, clocking in at over five minutes. The epic journey it takes you on is bar none a real treat for Rock music fans. The guitar solo later in the track is out of this world. "Falling Short" is an acoustic track that has a ton of depth and emotion. It's a track that showcases the more sensitive side of the band perfectly. The closing track "Promise" is an unreleased demo and shows how far they've come in their sound development. It's a dempo but shows the promise that helped them create their Hard Rock/Metal tinged signature sound.

Verdict:
Never Mind The Damage knock it out of the park with their newest offering.
