Sounds like: Melodic Metalcore

"In Abeyance" features swirling riffs from the get go before erupting with a wall of Metalcore sound. The track features a good abundance of breakdowns and there's a nice deliberate, steady pacing overall. "No Place Like Home" cranks up the intensity a bit from the opener. There's more blast beats to the track and it has more of a traditional Metalcore feel to it. "A Line Has Been Crossed" has a more Gothernburg Metal sound to it. The riffs are on point and the vocals are akin to more of an In Flames vibe. "Silent Witness" keeps the heavy train moving. The track brings with it some incredible riffage and should be a hit with fans in no time. "Relapse" is an interlude track that creates an ambient break in the album. "The long death of a silent tear continues the moody vibes from the interlude for the first forty seconds before blasting into their heavier sound. The track has a nice balance to it and it shows off more depth. "Lost in Lands" is sure to get the live crowds moving. There's a certain bounce factor to the track and it should induce some serious moshing. "Rites Of Passage: Separation" hits like a cyclone with its whirlwind like riffs and takes off running through the wilderness of Metalcore. "Rites of Passage: Transition" is moody until after the one minute mark when it unleashes its full fury. The track is controlled chaos and hits hard and heavy with emotion. "Rites Of Passage: Reincorporation" is five minutes of Metalcore awesomeness. The track is spectacular in its delivery and really showcases a catchy, yet heavy sound. "Runaways Aren't Always Cowards" starts with chaos and helps close the album out in triumphant fashion.

Verdict:
Confined to Oblivion create a wrecking ball of Melodic Metalcore with their newest album.
