Sounds like: Metal
From: Austria

"Genesis (Intro)" is a synth laden intro track that builds ambience with its atmospheric tones. "Tempus" kicks right in with its Progressive/Technical Metalcore vibes. The pacing steadies itself with melody in the first verse before ramping back up with aggression and crunch. The melodic chorus brings to mind Linkin Park in its delivery. The track has shades of Nu Metal in its verses as the heaviness is amped up. The bridge features swirling riffs as melodic vocals croon and eventually erupt into a full on wave of heaviness. The title track is up next and it brings that atmospheric synth heavy instrumentation back in its opening. The first verse has a mix between chilled back melody and harder aggression and instrumentation. The clean sung chorus keeps the overall tone similar with the previous track. While not as technical as the previous, there's more depth overall. "Tomorrow" ramps up the intensity to a new high. The driving force is its riffage for sure. The vocals keep up as well as they can as there's a Dry Kill Logic vibe in the track. The mix of melody and circle pit inducing Metal shines bright and it should be a fan favorite in no time. "Atlas" is a closer that makes the listener yearn for more. After a lengthy intro, the track hits its stride with a Deftones like vocal delivery and more Hard Rock instrumentation. The track is the most radio friendly track on the EP and it shows great promise in that they can conjure up the radio hits. Five tracks is not nearly enough and we can't wait to hear more!

Verdict:
AENIGMA are ready for the big lights and spotlight with their new EP.
