Sounds like: Hard Rock
From: Nebraska

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? How did the name "Twisted Chrome" come about and is there any meaning to it?

All of us got together in late 2021 and started jamming. Hit it off and continued to play together. Our sound has developed over time based on our individual influences. Within the group we have influences in 70’s rock, hair metal, punk, thrash, and more. We wear our influences on our sleeves, so you can hear all of these across all of our tracks.

We had one hell of a time coming up with a name that wasn’t taken. Our singer Dan came up with the name as an idea for a previous band he was in, but they decided to go a different route. When we were having a tough time finding a name, he brought it up and we decided to go with it.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We definitely strive to write fun upbeat music. We just want people to have an escape from the bullshit in the world so they can let loose and just have a good time.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Good ole’ fashioned guitar driven hard rock n roll.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

As there are five of us in the band, we’ll give you 5 instead of 3: Clutch, Halestorm, 38 Special, Black Label Society, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

Not a fan. There’s a human element to anything artistic, and to take that element away ruins it. It’s inauthentic. AI can’t replace the human emotion that is poured into the writing process.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Hard Rock?

It seems to be a little more underground these days, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s a good thing because you can be who you wanna be without being at the mercy of corporations with nothing but public opinion in mind.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in Nebraska?

There are a lot of great bands and a lot of great venues to play. There’s a wide variety of music. Definitely something for everybody.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

What royalties?

9. What’s next for Twisted Chrome?

Keep growing. New music, new venues, new audiences. Taking advantage of every opportunity we get ahold of.

10. Any shoutouts?

All family and friends and fans that have helped us get to where we are. All the photographers who have come out to help us document our journey. And to all the venues we haven’t gotten the opportunity to play at yet. We hope you’ll take the chance. It’ll be worth it.
