1. What's new with Dirty For Dirty?
Steve L: We have been back in the studio, ready to release a couple of new singles. Working towards an album release. Getting back on track.
2. What do you want people to take away from the new single?
Jason B: Hopefully, people will be able to relate to the lyrics and enjoy the song.
3. How does the writing process go with the band?
Jason B: Steve Moen is the primary song writer. He brings the idea then we add our unique areas.
Steve L: It's usually Steve coming up with ideas and lyrics on his drives for work. He will come up with something and present to.us at practice, we work on it a bit, if its something we like we pursue it.
4. What have you been listening to lately?
Steve M: I’ve had the new Whiskey Myers album in repeat for a week. Also The Band Feel, Cody Jinks and Dirty Honey.
Jason B: Alice Cooper, Flogging Molly, old Genesis (Peter Gabriel era).
Steve L: Nothing real specific for myself, always a vast mix.
5. Do you have any pre-show rituals before performing?
Steve M: Getting drunk. No just kidding. Not really. Just try not to get to over hyped.
Jason B: Stay calm.
Steve L: No pre show rituals for me other than getting together to practice.
6. What's one thing you'd change about the local music scene?
Jason B: More venues showcasing original music.
7. What's your favorite show that you've played and why?
Jason B: Not sure how to answer. Lazy Lizard good local vibe.
8. Any plans for any music videos?
Jason B: Hopefully soon.
Steve L: A few music videos would be great. Would love to get us out on the web!
Steve M: I can see it happening soon.
9. What do you wish to accomplish for the rest of the year?
Steve M: We definitely have some more music coming this year. Due to some recent obstacles this year playing live hasn’t been in the cards. But very much looking forward to getting back on the stage very early next year.
Jason B: More recording with a full album release following.
Steve L: Getting a few more songs under our belt and getting out for some shows!
