Sounds like: Nu Metal/Alternative Rock/Post Rock

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound?

Western Music has been a huge influence for all our band members from childhood and rock and metal music played a huge role in influencing the music we play today furthermore nu metal, post hardcore, alternative rock genres which was a boom in early 2000’s era inspired us the most specially bands like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Story of Year, Breaking Benjamin etc. We started playing music as young teenagers during school. Gradually our likely influences helped us to form the band later at college and helped us with developing our sounds later. We've gone through a few different variations of the band but now we have settled with 6 band members.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We want people to feel something real when they hear my music — whether it’s anger, hope, freedom, or just the raw energy of being alive. Rock has always been about honesty and emotion, and we want listeners to walk away feeling understood, like they’re not alone in whatever they’re going through. If a song of ours helps someone scream out their frustration or find their strength, that’s the best takeaway we could ask for.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

It’s a mix of crushing guitars, electronic textures, and emotional breakdowns — like chaos and catharsis in the same breath. We want it to feel like you’re falling apart and finding yourself at the same time.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Slipknot for the chaos, Deftones for the atmosphere, and Linkin Park for the "Dream come true". That combination would set any stage on fire.

5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?

AI is a tool, not a replacement. It can spark ideas, but real emotion still comes from human experience. We might use tech as an ally, not a crutch to walk.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Nu Metal?

Nu Metal is in a renaissance. The aggression of the '00s is blending with today’s experimental production tech music. It’s raw again, but smarter and more evolved, slightly leaning towards the groove

7. What’s the current music scene like there in India?

Hungry, diverse, and rising at a steady pace. The underground metal scene has more talent than platforms and once those platforms arrive, India’s going to surprise the world, and we are contributing our part in that along with others

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

They’re not fair at times, and everyone knows it. Artists deserve a model that rewards creativity, not just algorithms. We hope the industry catches up soon, particularly the respect & Support new / upcoming artists deserve.

9. What’s next for Shiverwood Shade?

Our debut era is just beginning. More singles, heavier textures, unexpected collaborations, and a live show to groove with the crowds

10. Any shoutouts?
