From: New York
Sounds like: Blackened Death Metal
1. What's new with Blood Desecration?
Since we've been back from our tour and took a small break, we came back invigorated and a huge amount of expression for our next full-length album. This year we are also doing our first ever Desecrationfest.
2. What's the word on new music?
We've been tirelessly and enthusiastically working on new music. We are a little over half way done with our new album then into the studio we go.
3. How does the writing process go with the band?
We all have a say and use each other's ideas until something starts to come together. That usually becomes the "skeleton" for the song then we fine tune it. As far as lyrics go, JT usually has lyrics made for multiple songs, so we have a pretty huge library to choose from.
4. What have you been listening to lately?
We've pretty been listening to the same as before, but more into getting this album completed.
5. Do you have any pre-show rituals before performing?
Not really. Just hanging around chatting with the fans taking photos and getting pumped.
6. What's one thing you'd change about the local music scene?
For everyone to put bigger local festivals together.
7. What's your favorite show that you've played and why?
There are quite a few shows. Whitechapel, Goatwhore, King Parrot, Fallujah, Kings Of Thrash (members of Megadeth), Luicidal (members of Suicidal Tendencies).
8. Any plans for any music videos?
There are plans for a music video this Spring with the title track "Demonvangelist".
9. What do you wish to accomplish for the rest of the year?
Stay busy. Play many shows. Play some festivals. Play on a ship. Meet many fans. And above all, have a good time.
