1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound?
We all come from different backgrounds of music. Some of us were in a metallic hardcore band and the rest in pop/punk, alternative rock. I think that really helped develop the duality of sound that we have.
2. What do you want people to take away from your music?
We would want people to be able to take and gain something from the lyrics and topics discussed while pulling something away from our sound. Hopefully something unique and fresh.
3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?
I would say it’s mix of a bunch of different styles of music. From nu-metal to some shoegaze. I’d say our debute EP has something for everyone.
4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?
Would be so sick to tour with Loathe, Underoath and Norma Jean.
5. What's your thoughts on AI generated music?
It has no place for us in our group or scene. It’s got no soul. Plus it takes away from the already small overshadowed artists throughout the world.
6. What’s your take on the current state of Post Hardcore?
There’s a lot of really good bands coming out from that scene. I would say it’s alive and well.
7. What’s the current local music scene like there in California?
There’s California scene has a lot of very good bands. Especially out of the Sacramento/Bay area. Just wish they weren’t so clicky.
8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?
It’d be great to have these bigger companies brought down to actual make room for the underdog companies who actually care for the artist/bands. The royalties then would actually be making an impact to the artists/bands.
9. What’s next for Dezire?
We plan to hit the studio soon to record an LP and do some touring.

Shoutout to anyone who has given us a chance. In this day and age where attention spans are short it means a lot for people to be listening and enjoying our music.
