Sounds like: Metal

Sweden metal is in good hands in Wasted Shells. Sweden is known for hard hitting metal bands such as Opeth, Arch Enemy, At The Gates and In Flames to name a few and Wasted Shells has the quality in this EP to grab the metal genre torch and run with it. "Tox" opens up the pit right away as its ferocity hasn't been heard since early Machine Head. The brutality on the track is off the charts. Such a tremendous opening track for an EP. "Masterplan" is a track they shot a music video for and it is relentless. It doesn't settle down for anything as it just devastates everything in its path with a flurry of melody and absolute destruction. "Lies" is a metal track that will surely get the floor moving with its driving sound. "Breathe In Breathe Out" sounds like an early Bullet For My Valentine track as it has some thrash sound to it along with some haunting melodies. "Today (The Edge)" takes things down a notch as it is a slow build track. Once it erupts, it is quite the arena anthem metal track. It's a fantastic change of pace and really showcases the talent of the band even further. "2215" closes out the EP in passionate fashion in way of another slower more intimate track.

Verdict:
Wasted Shells are set to ignite the metal world on fire. They're coming with everything they have with this blistering EP.
