Sounds like: Hardcore

Indiana band The Omniscient released this EP today. Let's dig in and see what they're all about. "This Wicked Life" opens up the EP with an electronic intro which then just erupts into a tenacious breakdown. This could easily be a live intro which will surely get the crowd moving. The track is just pure brutality. "Abandoned Species" is a track that has more of a death metal influence than the previous track. The track is dark, moody and tough as nails with its breakdowns. "Sacrifice" beings with a guitar riff which then meshes together with another devastating breakdown. The electronic verse is a good addition to the track. Overall the track brings to mind Hatebreed mixed with early Korn, or a more modern act would be Attila. "Restraint" has no restraint. The track intends to tear everything apart with a darker Parkway Drive sound. The track is also more melodic than the previous tracks but still features no clean singing and rebellious lyrics. "Final Warning" closes out the EP in destructive fashion. The track is a two and half minute long track which features an audio clip from the movie Psycho as well as some dark overtones. It's a treat to finish off the 18 minute long EP with such a powerful closer.

Verdict:
The Omniscient have arrived and have brought their fierce brutality with them.
