Sounds like: Metalcore

It's been a bit since Allies Always Lie came out with their previous single "Dr. Awkward". Let's dive into our review and tell you why you need to check these guys out RIGHT NOW! The opener "Empty" gets right into it and goes straight for the jugular. The brash Metalcore sound is on full display and builds into the melodic chorus. The sound brings to mind The Ghost Inside as its chock full of breakdowns and will surely get some sing alongs going with the live crowd. "Hide" is from top to bottom, pure destruction. The breakdowns are totally bonkers and the aggressive vocals take the track to new heights in such a short span of not even three minutes. "Her Mistake" is like a runaway freight train. There's a bit of two stepping parts as well as mosh inducing breakdowns. There's some clean sung vocals on the chorus but it's not overwhelming. The track is super catchy while still being hard as nails. The closer "In Your Mind" is absolute chaos while still maintaining a sense of melody. The track is more Post Hardcore sounding than the previous tracks. It ends things on a high note and makes the listener reach for the repeat button with ease. This EP prove these guys are legit and have definitely evolved since their previous release.

Verdict:
Allies Always Lie are back with a vengeance with their new "Empty" EP.
