Sounds like: Metal

The opener "In My Eyes" gets rowdy from the opening riff. The circple pit like intensity starts things off on a high note. Melodic vocals glide along the verses while the chorus is like a crunchy rollercoaster that twists and turns all over. The guitar solo is top notch around the midway point. "Burn Brighter" is a near six minute romp through the Direlands natural habitat. The different variations of Metal that they conjure up is on full display. "Dying to Breathe" keeps things crunchy and riff tastic throughout. The melodic vocals keep things gliding on a confident melodic Metal path as the riffs seem to get heavier and heavier and include another fantastic guitar solo. The closer "The Leviathan" is purely instrumentation for the first minute and a half before the vocals kick in. The track creates carnage with its Metal arsenal and leaves destruction in its wake. It's an awesome closer to an extremely promising EP.

Verdict:
Direlands cement their place on the "Best of 2020" Metal releases with their newest EP.
