Sounds like: Pop Punk

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Fracture The Frame" and is there any meaning behind it?

All of us were in bands in our local scene previously. Some of us were in metal bands and the other half were in indie bands. Grayson and Calvin were on tour with Down They Fall when the idea was cooked up. Calvin came up with the name for the band. To us Fracture The Frame means that sometimes life has a big picture for you that is over looked while you are focusing on the small picture , sometimes to become what you need to be you must shatter your own reality to realize your potential.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We just want people to have a good time as well as an outlet. We feel it is important that people out there who don't have a voice can have one through us!

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

We like to think of our sound as a blend of modern pop-punk from bands like The Wonder Years with Easycore thrown into the mix from bands like Four Year Strong.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Knuckle Puck, A Day To Remember and Belmont! That would be a sick tour!

5. What are your three desert island albums that you'd never get tired of listening to?

Calvin - Honestly probably Knuckle Puck's newest release "Shapeshifter".
Grayson - All My Friends by Eatmewhileimhot.
Jerred - Common Courtesy by A Day To Remember.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Pop Punk?

Like many things in the music scene there are cycles. We believe that pop-punk is back on the rise evident from the releases of Knuckle Puck, The Wonder Years recording a new album and Belmont who is currently taking the world by storm.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in West Virginia both locally and state wide?

Our music scene is as hype as it can be for as far as smaller towns go. We have huge acts constantly in and out of 123 Pleasent St as well as Mainstage Morgantown. Knuckle Puck is actually playing Mainstage on march 24th. Unfortunately some of us wont be in town when that comes through though. But the rest of you should totally go support them! As far as statewide Muncheez in Beckley WV is also a sort of mecca for live music in WV and you should definitely go support their shows!

8. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

Why illegally download it when you can stream it for free?

9. What’s next for Fracture The Frame?

Next for us will be releasing our EP "Balancing: Act One" and booking our first tour. Keep your eyes peeled for show schedules soon!

10. Any shoutouts?

For sure! First and foremost we want to throw a huge shout out to our boy Danny Strakal for helping us put together our EP and single! We also want to give shouts out to Down They Fall for bringing some of us together to cook the idea up as well as Zach Hensely of Kidd Quit for believing in us and pushing us! Thanks for the support Zach! Last but not least we want to think each and everyone of you who have made our launch week amazing. We can never thank you enough and hope to bring you the best content we can!
