1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name "Face Behind the Betrayal" and is there any meaning behind it?

We all really all kinda listen to the same type of music metal-core ,Hardcore , deathcore so we tried to mix some of those styles in this band. The name actually came up as we were discussing our song Betrayed and how someone’s face would look after being betrayed so we taught Face Behind The Betrayal

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We want people to hear and see that we aren’t like most other bands sound wise we are singing and screaming and have melodic sound to it.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Metalcore is what we usually sound like like but we have gotten a couple other styles labeled to us.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Wow big question since there’s so many we love but if we were to choose 3 1.As I Lay Dying 2.Whitechapel 3.Deftones

5. How has Covid affected what you do?

Covid has had some affect to us with Shows being canceled due to other bands catching it or just fans and friends being iffy about coming out to a show cause of it.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Metal?

I say it has become stronger than ever with new deathcore bands hitting the scene crazy drumming crazy vocals it’s great

7. What’s the current music scene like locally there in New York?

It’s has it scene good Brooklyn venues like Saint Vitus ,kingsland And a couple cool ones out east on the island shakers pub stereo Garden the Paramont you’ll find a lot of different styles at these shows.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

It’s definitely not like it used to be back in 80s and 90s where your friends would have a cassette or cd saying check out this band word of mouth and going out and buying A physical copy of an album looking thru the booklet still love having A physical copy over streaming services any day.

9. What's next for Face Behind the Betrayal?

Hopefully just keep playing out and make people hear us live and on recordings

10. Any shoutouts?

Would like to give Dan Ferguson engineer a shout he’s helping us with Twofaced ep.
