Sounds like: Groove Metal

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name "Next Bullet" and is there any meaning behind it?

Next Bullet was born from the need to start from scratch, with a brand new project, right after the disbanding of my old band with which I played for almost twenty years. And that's why our first album is called 'ZERO'. The message we want to send is never give up despite all the problems that life has in store for you. There is always a next bullet to fire.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We always describe moods with our music. People need to vent. We need to vent. We want people through our music to free themselves from negative thoughts. We are an emotional purge.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

It is a raw, unapologetic journey into the blasting music.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Gosh, there would be so many, maybe too many...

5. How has Covid affected what you do?

During the lockdown we wrote the whole new record "PRISON". We poured all the anger and frustration of that period into the songs. The result is obvious. Listen to the whole album and you will understand what I am saying. We needed a reason to feel alive and we found it, as always, through music.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Groove Metal?

It is a genre where everything has already been done and is carried on by the old bands. But we love it madly!

7. What's the current music scene like there in Italy?

Sad, very sad. All is in the hands of talent shows.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Artists always earn too little. By now streaming platforms are bringing music to any device. Some call it evolution. You may like it or not, but that's the way it is. The good thing is that in our basements we will have fewer unsold records. Nowadays people listen to music in a superficial way. Often when you listen to a new song, you don't listen to it until the end. The challenge for music makers these days is to capture the listener's attention while having only a few seconds to spare.

9. What's next for Next Bullet?

We have just released our third album 'PRISON' and two official videos (check out our youtube channel). We are already writing songs for our fourth album. Our goal is to connect through our music with as many people as possible.

10. Any shoutouts?

Nope!
