1. What are your names and roles in the band?
Band-
Russ - Bass and lead vocals.
Justin - Guitar and vocals.
Mitch - Lead guitar
Nathan - Drums
2. How did you come up with the name Waterview?
Band-
Our town is right on the water, and its a nod to that. Also the mentality you find in a small town, no-one likes you to make it big, and assume you never will because you're from a no-where place. To be honest it just sounded cool, we came up with all that bullshit afterwards.
3. Your sound has a punky sound to it, who are your influences?
Band-
We always listened to that early 90's punk, No Fun At All, Millencolin, AFI, Lagwagon etc. So I think subconsciously that comes through in our writing, even though our music tastes have changed somewhat since then.
4. Have you ever thought about touring over here in the states?
Band-
Heaps of times, so many more venues and our sound seems to reach alot of US kids and they love it. But there's alot more involved than just jumping on a plane. Maybe one day soon.
5. How is the new EP coming along?
Band-
Demo's are being written as I type this interview, it's sounding good. Hopefully will leave the first one for dead.
6. Any good show stories?
Band-
Our guitarist punching a wall, or a tree, and breaking his hand, then having to play a show with a hand the size of a dinner plate. That was entertaining. We have heaps of amazing stories, but I won't bore you with them :)
7. What's your favorite song to play live and why?
Band-
I (Russ) like playing Ghost Stories, a new one. So much energy.
8. If you could tour with any three acts, who would they be?
Band-
Hmmm, keeping all the band in mind, I'd say we'd have to tour with Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage and The PussyCat dolls. Imagine that.
9. What are you currently listening to?
Band-
The new A Wilhem Scream. It's amazing.
10. What's next for Waterview?
Band-
Having a break over summer to write a new EP, and then hopefully tour with that in 2008. Win an AFI. Score a motion picture deal. Get on the MTV awards. Y'know, small stuff like that.
