Sounds like: Metal

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Beauty In The Darkness” and is there any meaning behind it?

Well...basically the band started out in high school except for Ariana we met her through Facebook and auditioned her at Samash. We've been a band since October of 2012 and have been going strong since. One sound is a little awkward I would say... We basically aren't the same musically and combine it to make the kind of music you've heard on our new EP Lost for Words. We just want to stand out as much as possible to our fans and to pan to different music listeners and there taste. For your next question the name Beauty in the Darkness was thought up by Zero it was meant to describe the music for example we may play with melody and always try to find something to catch your ear but we also like showing our heavier side of music but not afraid to explore our musical horizons. Hence the name Beauty in the Darkness.

2. What do you want listeners to take away from your music?

We want our listeners to take away the hidden meanings implanted into our songs. We want our songs to stand out and have things that you have to play over and over to hear making it feel like your listening to a new song but you can still sing the lyrics.

3. How has the response been thus far to the "Lost For Words" EP? What's your favorite tracks to play live off of it?

The response to our new EP Lost for Words has been way better than expected. Obviously we've put a lot of hard work, sweat, money, and time into it but the responses have been far more exciting than we could've imagined! From fans asking for autographs, to bands from foreign countries wanting to play with us, and getting discovered by this record label From the Depths Entertainment has been really awesome! And for your question on live shows our songs perfect tragedy and deadly whispers are always fun to play the get the crowd going and wanting to join along with us, but we love playing all of our songs haha.

4. What can people expect from your live show?

Pillow pits, moshing, dancing, and so on its all there we have it all there's no certain way to feel out music but all of our songs have a different vibe and make our live shows always fun to experience.

5. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

If we could tour with anyone it would have to be Foo Fighters, our friends from Irie, and The Gazette but I'm not sure if the whole band would agree haha!

6. Any crazy show stories?

I mean there is no single crazy show story we've gone from playing in dresses, playing with the drums backwards, bleeding on our instruments, and dancing with the crowd we always do something fun and unexpected!

7. What’s your take on the current state of metal?

Our thoughts is it just music a lot of it might get repeated but there are a lot of good ones as well if you just take a chance to listen.

8. What’s the current music scene like there in Nevada both locally and state wide?

It's not like any other music scene even though we may have venues that open and close left and right there are a lot of opportunities in Vegas. We have promoters like Jew King, Pulsar, and Josh Figg who keep the music scene alive. We have things like Envy Showcase, House Of Blues, Hard Rock, and tons of other things going on. We also have the underground punk scene with venues including Hellpop and house shows happening frequently. And of course Eagle Aerie Hall, that venue has been around since forever. It's a pretty cool and interesting music scene if you keep up with the bands and their shows!

9. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

As long as you enjoy the music enough to either steal it or buy it a fan is a fan no matter what and however you can get music get it, but we do suggest buying it to help your bands continue to grow and continue making music.

10. What’s next for Beauty In The Darkness?

A new album, new music, touring, releasing our music worldwide, and getting more of a deeper fan base.

11. Any shoutouts?

We'd like to thank all that have supported us so far that includes family, friends, our studio producers who helped us get our EP done, and of course all our fans who stay with us and keep us alive! Oh yea and of course........ Our Mothers.
