1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name "Room On The 3rd Floor” and is there any meaning behind it?

In our “first period” me (Alex) and my brother Andy started only as a cover band! Then we've started writing some original tunes in the style of our favourites artists, like Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Green Day, All Time Low, Blink 182, McBusted... we've wrote for an year and after the release of our debut album "Stop Dreaming,Start Playing", Tom and Gio joined the band as guitarists. Alex found the name for the band being inspired by the place where it all started, the room on the third floor, the brother's bedroom. All the music we’ve discovered, we’ve loved, we’ve sung (and now created!) was always located in our room. Everything is here. Everytime we enter in our room we can see what’ve made us. Another inspiration behind our name comes from the first band we’ve ever covered, McFly. As their band is born in a hotel room on the 3rd floor, also our band is born in our bedroom on the 3rd floor! McFly’s song, and their first album, is called “Room On The Third Floor” so: which name could have been better for us?

2. What do you want listeners to take away from your "Stop Dreaming, Start Playing" album?

We only want to show to the listeners what music does and means to us! We would like to inspire them and to share emotions, power, joy and happiness! Our songs has different "faces",and every song has a story behind it.

3. What can people expect from your live show?

Fun for sure, involvement, romantic and emotional moments and also some fails...!

4. What's your favorite track to play live?

Tom's favourite song to play live is "Like My Fave Bands", our first song we wrote that shows perfectly our music style.

Andy's favourite song to perform is "Unrequited Love", track #2 of our "Stop Dreaming,Start Playing", a great mix of catchy vocal melody and a classic pop-punk style.

Alex's favourite songs to play live are "The First Song I Write For You", which creates an emotional and romantic atmosphere on stage, because it has a special meaning to him, and also a new song called "Wasting Time" from our second album that will be in work soon!

Gio's favourite is "From Morning Until Night", a song that start like a ballad and then explodes into a rebellious and powerful anthem against preconceptions.

5. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Obviously our favorite bands, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Green Day, but also bands that are in the new pop-punk scene like Neck Deep, The Bottom Line and As It Is.

6. Any crazy show stories?

During our debut show we had a crazy show moment...We've played 10 seconds of one of our songs in three different tunings at the same time...yeah.!

7. What’s your take on the current state of Pop Punk?

We think that there are two different styles of this genre. To be honest we prefer the new stuff of pop-punk veterans to the new wave of pop-punk bands.

8. What’s the current music scene like there in Italy both locally and country wide?

Sadly in Italy our genre is almost completed ignored, infact we hope we can "land" in states outside our country, like U.S.A and U.K, where this genre is surely most appreciated.

9. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

Taking legally music download guarantees studio quality and it's a symbolic way to show support to the bands.

10. What’s next for Room On The 3rd Floor?

We are writing some new stuff to start to work on our second album and at the same time we are focused on our live shows!

11.Any shoutouts?

We really want to give a shoutout to our friend BrandonLowe, a young italian DJ/Producer. He always supports us and our work, and we do the same to him. He is an Alex's friend since they were kids, and their friendship is so strong especially thanks to the power of music!
