Sounds like: Hard Rock

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “Rising Elijah" and is there any meaning behind it?

Well, everyone had been working in diff bands and projects before we all linked up. The name originally was created by our manager Steve, we were gonna do like a mascot/super hero kinda thing with it, ala Eddie or whatever, but couldn't get the art work right so we scraped that and kept the name.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

A fun hard rockin good time. We wanna bring those rockin vibes, but with an updated sound.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?

Ha. Hard rockin, with an updated sound.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Night demon, Striker, Rival Sons.

5. What are your three desert island albums that you'd never get tired of listening to?

That's tuff. Appetite, Kill em all, and British steel maybe? I dunno that's tuff. Haha.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Hard Rock?

I think theres a lot of solid bands out there. We recently got the opportunity to be on the Metal Assault mixtape featuring all local LA bands - and there was a lot of good shit on there.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in California?

Well. Before this covid shit, it was lively. Moving. Always something goin on. Lotta good acts across the board. Hopefully we can get back out there soon.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Listen. Artists never made good money off record sales. Touring and merch was always where the bread got buttered. Ain't shit changed.

9. What’s next for Rising Elijah?

Well we just wrapped our next video, so look out for that here coming up. Looking to do a pro live stream here right behind that. And then release the album, which is pretty much done, just kinda been waiting to see how this covid shit shakes down.

10. Any shoutouts?

RIP Riley Gale.
