The track opens with some pretty solid melodic riffage that sets the crunchy pace early. The Iron Maiden like vocals drive forward the first verse with its melodies and fierce range. The vocals try to keep up with the faster instrumentation but at times it seems a tad off. The chorus cranks things up even further and it's like entering a Rock cyclone as the sounds get cranked to 11. The guitar solo that follows kicks out the jams in all the right ways before dipping back down the overall pacing. There's a build with the bridge by way of more Progressive ambient sounds that eventually gets back into the more Rock side of things. The overall depth comes into play as while the instrumentation take over for the majority of the second hald of the track, it features dynamic layers that keeps things interesting. As the first single off their upcoming album, this single sets a high bar of what's to come with the full album.
Verdict:
ReFrame's newest single is tantalizing in its Progressive Metal nature.
