1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound?

We all started playing music at a young age. I think for us, the bands that we were listening to were a powerful force in getting started. We have some really great influences, although somewhat diverse. We basically just write what we like and try to use the different styles that mesh well together. We all have input into ours songs and that keeps it interesting and fun for us.

2. Who thought of the name “Infalling” and is there any meaning behind it?

Eric thought of the name Infalling. The name has a meaning based on the physics idea of matter falling into a black hole in outer space. That's the physical idea. From an introspective side, I think the idea applies to a person's emotional state. When things in life aren't always positive, it can feel like things are collapsing into you. The term "infalling" describes this feeling very well.

3. What do you want listeners to take away from your "Path Of Desolation" EP?

Basically the heaviness and grooviness of it and the relentless drive. We like to groove, we like driving riffs, and we really like heaviness. Tony has also put together some fantastic lyrical content. The EP is more or less a mini opera. Apocalyptic, end of humanity storyline. The intro song ‘Genesis’ sets the tone of what is to come. A little bit a dread. ‘Forthcoming’ is just that. The coming of "something" that is the end of mankind. ‘Pain Breeds Fury’ represents mankind's fight back against this. ‘Nonexistent’ is the loss. ‘Revelations’ represents the sorrow of the loss.

4. How would you describe your music to the average listener?

Groovy, Driving, Heaviness.

5. What can people expect from your live show?

We like to have fun on stage. We like to interact with the crowd. Making sure that everybody has a kickass time. People at the bar, people in the crowd, and us up on stage. Have fun, let off some steam, and enjoy the party!

6. What are your favorite songs to play live?

All of our songs are fun to play live, but we are really having fun playing our newer songs.

7. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

It may seem ridiculous but: Iron Maiden, Slayer, and Sepultura.

8. Any crazy show stories?

There are some crazy stories from the past with every one of us, but nowadays we are pretty mellow. We just want everybody to have a great time.

9. What’s your take on the current state of metal?

It's been strange. It is very reassuring that metal has a strong hold on some parts of the world still. Central and South America have some incredible fan bases. Really enthusiastic for all styles of metal, and to us, that is very exciting. Europe still seems to have a great energy for Metal music also. For Infalling, the biggest response has been from Indonesia. That country is crazy for metal. We love it! Unfortunately the demand for metal in the U.S. seems to have diminished over the last decade.

10. What’s the current music scene like there in Ohio both locally and state wide?

The Metal music scene seems like its back on the rise again. With all the different styles and genres of Metal that were created, it felt like it is was being pulled in a million different directions, but now seems to be coming back full circle to its original true roots.

11. What’s your take on legal/illegal music downloading?

If it is on the internet, people will download it one way or another!

12. What’s next for Infalling? Any release date for the new album?

We are in the studio now recording drum tracks for our upcoming EP titled ‘Ominous’. No release date at this time, but keep checking in on our Facebook page for the latest.
