From: Pittsburgh, PA
Sounds like: Emo/Alternative/Pop Punk

Atlantic Wasteland are a group that features dual male and female vocals to create something truly special within the current Pop Punk scene. The opener "Berea" is an acoustic opener that features soaring vocals right off the bat to help build that high level of emotion that will permeate the rest of the EP. "Durango" proves why it was chosen as a single. The track is fun, meaningful and just plain awesome to listen to. The end of the track is incredible and would be such a great live track to experience. "Sparta" chimes in with high energy. The high driving track will induce toe tapping and rocking out for sure. "Hesperus" cranks things up a few notches. The bouncy track has an old school New Found Glory bounce to it as it keeps the energy at an high clip throughout its three and a half minute span. "Pittsburgh" has a different type of sound than the previous tracks. It's more schizophrenic and features a bit more Emo, a bit more Punk and even a bit of Screamo. It's a diverse track and works very well. The guitar solo later in the track is out of this world. "Meadville" is a spacey, slower track that pours out pure passion with every note. The track is a great finisher to a phenomenal EP. Overall, every track on the EP feels like it could be a single. Big things are on the horizon for Atlantic Wasteland.

Verdict:
Atlantic Wasteland brings something truly remarkable to the Pop Punk world with their "Cities" EP.
