From: New Jersey
Sounds like: Metal

1. How did you get started with music and how did you develop your sound? Who thought of the name “12 Days Straight" and is there any meaning behind it?

Drums: I've been playing in bands since I was 16 and my sound has been a mix of Bonham (zep), Mitchell (hendrix), Benante (anthrax), Ullrich (metallica), and Menza (megadeth) The other guys came up with it before I joined. The bass player was working long days and the guitarist asked him how long it had been, I dunno, it's been twelve days straight!" And that was history.

2. What do you want people to take away from your music?

We want them to hear our own passions and love for music.

3. How would you describe your sound to the average listener?
Dynamic groove metal.

4. Who are three bands you’d like to tour with?

Killswitch Engage, Slayer, and Hatebreed.

5. How has Covid affected what you do as a band?

Focusing more on promotion and writing new music.

6. What’s your take on the current state of Metal?

So much room to grow as you can see new acts coming on the scene every day.

7. What’s the current music scene like there in New Jersey?

Metal shows are hard to find but venues are opening up the 2 bands per night at some places in AC.

8. What’s your take on the royalties that streaming services pay out to artists?

Low, way too low for beginning artists. We made $10 on distrokid after a year and the biggest chunk was from an album sale on Google Music.

9. What’s next for 12 Days Straight?

More music, hopefully recording a new EP in the spring. Working with GamerizedMusic and their new Distro platform, possibly with their publishing arm as well.

10. Any shoutouts?

CM Carol from Illusions of Grandeur, Tom Nando @ The Metal Lab, WesMoose @ MetalCoffee.
